While Covid was unfortunate and had a lot of negative impact globally, it helped in one realization for organizations – the need for a detailed and practical BCP. Without a BCP in place, you run the risk of shutting the business down in some unfavorable unforeseen situations. While having a BCP in place doesn’t insulate an organization from the vagaries of nature, pandemics or other emergencies, it does help prepare better and ensure better chance of the organization surviving the crisis.
